Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 13, 2026
1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how apicvm (apicvm.dev) collects, uses, and protects information when you use our website, customer portal, and API.
2. Information we collect
Account information. When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, and password hash. If you use Google or GitHub sign-in, we receive profile information from those providers according to their policies.
Billing information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We store subscription status and Stripe customer identifiers, not full card numbers.
API usage data. For authenticated API requests, we may log method, path, response status, duration, API key reference, IP address, and user agent for security, rate limiting, and operations.
Extraction jobs. When you enqueue text extraction, we process the document you reference and the callback URL you provide so we can deliver results.
3. How we use information
- Provide and operate the API, portal, and billing.
- Authenticate users and API keys.
- Send transactional email such as account verification.
- Enforce rate limits, prevent abuse, and maintain security.
- Improve reliability and diagnose incidents.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Third-party services
We use trusted providers to run the service, including:
- Stripe for subscription billing and customer portal.
- Google and GitHub for optional OAuth sign-in.
- Email delivery for account verification and service messages.
These providers process data under their own privacy policies and only as needed to deliver their function.
5. Data retention
We retain account and billing records while your account is active and as required for legal, tax, or security obligations. API usage logs are kept for operational and abuse prevention purposes and may be aggregated or deleted on a rolling basis.
6. Security
We use industry-standard measures such as hashed passwords, HTTPS, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; protect your API keys and account credentials.
7. Your choices
You can manage your subscription through the billing portal, revoke API keys from the dashboard, and request account-related assistance by contacting us. Depending on your location, you may have additional rights to access, correct, or delete personal data.
8. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
